Consider signing up for an online program:

If you like the idea of being able to workout from the comfort of your own home, it’s a smart idea to consider signing up for an online fitness program. As an example you may want to sign up for a 12 week weight loss program which offers daily videos to complete and a support forum where you’ll be able to talk to current participants for added motivation. You’ll even be able to find free fitness programs on Youtube, so there’s no excuse not to be active.

Carry around a water bottle all day:

If you keep yourself hydrated not only will you have more energy to devote to your workout sessions but you’ll be less likely to mistake thirst for hunger. As you’ll be surprised by the amount of people who assume that they’re hungry when their body is actually dehydrated and craving water. If you find it difficult to remember to drink water you may want to download a water tracking app on your smart phone. Or to purchase a water bottle which boasts markers that tell you how much water to drink throughout the day.

Place a slice of lemon in your water bottle:

As lemon can speed up your metabolism, it’s a great idea to get into the habit of placing slices of lemon in your water bottle. Alternatively you can pour lemon juice into an ice cube tray in order to place lemon infused ice cubes into your water bottle or jug.

Switch up your exercises:

If you complete the same exercises every day your body may reach a plateau. In order to ensure that your body doesn’t get stuck in a rut it’s a great idea to incorporate a wide variety of exercises into your fitness regime. For example you may want to add swimming, kayaking, dance classes and HIIT workouts to your weekly workout plans.

Consider getting a dog:

If you like the idea of running for cardio you may want to adopt a medium to large dog breed which boasts plenty of energy. So that you’ll always have a willing companion for your early morning or late night runs.

Try to add super foods to your diet:

In order to ensure that your body operates efficiently it’s a wise idea to try and add a variety of super foods such as honey, blueberries and açai berries to your diet. As your energy levels should increase as a result.

So if you’re determined to make the year ahead the healthiest, most active year of your life, it’s well worth using the tips and advice listed above in order to meet your health and fitness goals.
